Advice for repairing cracked drywall in corner?
So, I’m starting to work on repairing the many cracks in the walls of my 1940 home prior to painting. Here, I’ve scraped away at this crack and under a very thin layer of mud I see old mesh, what looks like a void between the sheets. My questions are: should I repair the entire corner from floor to ceiling? Or can I just repair the cracked section? should I add drywall screws to the area? It’s by a sliding door so I’m guessing gets a decent amount of jostling. My current plan is to try and fill that void with mud, let it dry, then add drywall paper and more mud to define the corner. Would appreciate any advice from more experienced diy-ers thank u! submitted by /u/hooperbee [link] [comments]
