Attic ceiling question
I'm having some difficulty planning how to finish off the half attic in my house-- I'd like to put storage in the "walls", insulate, and, finish the ceiling with either drywall or tongue-and-groove. I live in Minnesota and it gets pretty chilly in this space (there's currently a heavy insulated door that covers the top of the stairwell. If you have any experience or insight I'd really appreciate knowing: - How should I handle ventilation? - What's the best method of insulation in between the ceiling joists? - Should I replace the current ceiling vent with a solar powered attic fan? - At what step in the process is best to install a skylight or two?
