BLAST Rivals Season 1 2026 to take place in North America

BLAST Premier announced online today that Rivals Season 1 2026 will be held in North America.

The Counter-Strike 2 tournament will run from April 27th to May 3rd, 2026. The initial announcement did not reveal much, but BLAST promises to share more details soon.

BLAST Premier made the announcement online on May 6th, 2025 on X. The move falls in line with BLAST’s commitments to expand the esports scene in America.

“We are pleased to announce that the BLAST Premier Rivals S1 2026 will be held in North America!” Blast Premier’s official account wrote. “More information to be revealed soon.”

Questions have arisen online surrounding where exactly the tournament will be held. BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 took place in Copenhagen, Denmark, after being moved from Monterrey, Mexico. It is currently unclear where in North America Rivals Season 1 2026 will take place.

It wouldn’t be the first time that BLAST held a tournament in the US. Take the BLAST.tv Austin Major, for instance, which recently landed Alienware as its PC sponsor. That tournament will see 32 teams will compete for a lion’s share of the $1.25m (~£967,900) prize pool

The upcoming tournament has yet to reveal format, participating teams, or the prize pool on the line. Though it’s not entirely out of the question to consider that the tournament may adopt a similar format, and offer a similar prize pool.

Nevertheless, fans are still hyped for the event following the success of previous BLAST tournaments, some of which garnered millions of views. Fans in the post’s replies are already speculating where the tournament will be held, with some requesting for the tournament to be held in Seattle, Montreal, New York, Detroit and more.

“Love this,” one fan account wrote online. “We need more tourneys [in the] US.”

While we wait for further news on BLAST RIvals Season 1 2026 there are other tournaments in the US to enjoy this month, including the aforementioned Austin Major and IEM Dallas.
