Celebrity-Loved GapStudio Debuts Zac Posen’s Collection 01
The brand revealed the new line, with prices ranging from $78 to $248, on Tuesday.

Gap is stepping into a new era of its classic American style with the retail launch of GapStudio, a premium fashion initiative debuting with Collection 01, designed by Zac Posen, (GapStudio already gained celebrity fandom by those wearing it on the red carpet, including Cynthia Erivo and and Cara Delevingne.) Gap's executive vice president and creative director since February 2024. Developed inside the brand’s New York City headquarters, GapStudio sets the tone for a new direction for the cult-favorite brand, offering more elevated and design-driven collections.
Collection 01 brings a refined approach to wardrobe staples, blending high-quality materials with Posen’s signature attention to detail—but still keeping things affordable. From the tailoring to sculptural denim, the pieces signal a modern evolution of Gap’s classic American aesthetic. Highlights include the Denim Tailored Trench Coat ($248) and Double-Breasted Denim Blazer ($178). The sought-after Poplin Maxi Shirtdress ($158), which previously sold out, returns in two new colorways.
“GapStudio is where craftsmanship, creativity and culture come together,” Posen expressed in a statement for the campaign. “This collection reflects that vision—blending tailoring with innovative denim treatments that sculpt and refine the fabric in new ways.”
Priced between $78 and $248, GapStudio Collection 01 will launch globally on April 3, available on gap.com and in 10 select U.S. stores.
To mark the debut, the brand unveiled a campaign photographed and directed by Italian-American photographer Mario Sorrenti. Alastair McKimm styled it, with models Alex Consani, Imaan Hammam, and Anok Yai fronting the visuals and leading the charge.
“GapStudio creates both accessible, coveted retail collections and exclusive, one-of-a-kind designs that celebrate self-expression and solidify Gap’s place in culture," CEO Mark Breitbard added in the statement.
