Chitose Abe Channels Feminine Beauty for sacai FW25

For Fall/Winter 2025, Japanese designer Chitose Abe embraced the current state of femininity in fashion. She brought sensitivity to the forefront, considering the uneasy political landscape we currently find ourselves in. By keeping the female form in mind, sacai's FW25 collection was a mash-up of hybrid silhouettes that upgrade the brand's signature styles. Abe's designs evolved traditional silhouettes in new and exciting ways, inviting femininity to walk the runway. Staple wool blazers sported integrated scarves that could be left to swing or thrown over one shoulder, while collared button-downs merged into an embellished skirt with corset-shaped ornamentation. Ribbed hoodies were paired with straight-cut cargos brightened by reflective decor and fuzzy accessories turned into ruffled dresses for confident women everywhere.Elsewhere, the designer paid tribute to late American visual artist Man Ray, blasting his sensual photographs onto scored and furry dresses. Her usual blown-up silhouettes were trimmed down to outline the body's natural contours, keeping things bright and beautiful with asymmetrical shapes and bold pops of color.
