Dryer troubleshooting / testing continuity
So our dryer quit heating so I cracked it open to check it out. We had a Thermal fuse replaced 9 months ago. I'm pretty sure the repair guy put in a non-speedqueen part into our speedqueen machine, but I didn't think it mattered. As I was testing continuity with a vintage analog multimeter that's probably from the 1970s, I was getting ohms readings on most check points. However, both the Thermal Fuse AND the Cycling Thermostat both gave no reading. Either I'm doing it wrong or both are out. Is this a probable or likely break? I'm not sure why I'd have overheating issues so soon (ducting isn't squished or full of lint, so air flow should be good). Maybe I need to check the blower fan too? Any thoughts or feedback is appreciated! Thanks. submitted by /u/HobbesDaBobbes [link] [comments]
