Data viewership platform Esports Charts has extended its partnership with Brazilian esports organisation FURIA through 2027.
The collaboration, which began in 2021, will continue to see Esports Charts provide audience insights and data to the esports team and its fans. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
Additionally, the renewed partnership will also allow FURIA to get insights for the key Kings League tournaments, including the Kings World Cup and Kings League Brazil events.
Founded in 2022 in Spain by popular Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos (who is also co-owner of esports team Movistar KOI) and former professional footballer Gerard Piqué, the Kings League is a seven-a-side football franchise with several divisions across the world. Its popularity has quickly spread among the younger generations, with leagues across the Americas, Italy, Brazil, France and Germany.
While the Kings League is not an esports competition, its format — which involves several creators and personalities in the entertainment field — creates great opportunities for esports organisations like FURIA to blend esports and traditional sports. The Brazilian organisation, which competes under the name FURIA FC in the Kings League, is led by co-founder Cristian Guedes and football player Neymar Jr.
Other teams in the esports industry have also expanded into the Kings League. Earlier this year, G2 entered the Kings League Germany with its own G2 Football Club.
Founded in Brazil in 2017 by André Akkari, Cristian Guedes and Jaime Pádua, FURIA is now one of the largest esports teams in Latin America, with offices across the United States, Brazil, Malta and China. It’s currently sponsored by Logitech G, Cruzeiro do Sul, Lenovo, PokerStars, Red Bull, and Hellmann’s.
Artyom Odintsov, co-founder and CEO at Esports Charts, commented on the renewed partnership: “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with FURIA and expand our coverage into the exciting world of media football.
“FURIA has been a valued partner since 2021, and we are excited to support their continued growth and success in both esports and new ventures like the Kings League.”
