Developer platform XBorg has officially announced a partnership with North American esports organisation Evil Geniuses.

The two will be collaborating on launching an immersive esports fan platform, providing personalised experiences for the EG community.

Little is known about the details of what the personalised experience will look like, although XBorg announced fans can claim their free Evil Geniuses virtual collectible on the following website.

With the latest collaboration, XBorg has locked in yet another important organisation in the esports space. The platform has previously worked with the likes of Team Liquid, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Team BDS. Earlier this year, it also closed a deal with Chinese esports team JD Gaming.

XBorg is known for creating gamified fan experiences, helping bridge the gap between the community and teams. Its platform offers the chance to participate in challenges and earn points that can be later traded for digital assets and rewards. This can be done all while teams manage their own branding and user experience, making sure it’s well aligned with the team’s identity.

XBBorg’s goal is to move away from the traditional venture capital investment methods and give more power to the esports community for long-term sustainability.

“Traditional companies optimise for shareholder returns. We’re optimising for industry-wide impact by creating a public good for gaming,” explained Louis Regis, XBorg’s Founder and CEO.

Since its creation in 2022, XBorg has over 25,000 gamers and industry enthusiasts who guide its development, and the company was able to raise $9 million exclusively from individual investors.

Founded in 1999, Evil Geniuses has since competed across various game titles, including League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Rocket League and VALORANT.

2025 marks the year EG has embraced the new technologies it takes to potentially grow its community. On top of the XBorg, the esports organisation also launched its own interactive chatbot, Meesh, in collaboration with Theta Labs earlier this year.
