Fnatic signs Teamfight Tactics roster

Fnatic has announced that it has signed a Teamfight Tactics roster ahead of the Esports World Cup.

The French roster will compete at the event’s EMEA closed qualifier taking place from May 30th to June 1st, 2025 in hopes of reaching the main event.

Fnatic unveiled its roster on a social media post on May 14th. The previously unsigned team secured its place at the closed qualifiers after an impressive showing at the open qualifier, winning its match in the eighth round of the lower bracket.

The organisation is one of eight teams competing in the closed qualifier, joining the likes of Team Secret, MOUZ and KOI in a bid to earn a place at the TFT tournament taking place as part of the multi-title event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“During the recruitment process, we were thoroughly impressed by this roster’s individual skill, professionalism, and 4v4 pedigree,” said Fnatic on X. “We can’t wait to have them representing the black and orange!”

TFT is one of several titles Fnatic has expanded into in recent weeks. On the same day that it unveiled its new TFT roster, the organisation also announced its return to Call of Duty: Warzone, which will compete in the Esports World Cup qualifiers as well.

The closed qualifier for TFT at the Esports World Cup will feature eight teams competing to qualify for the $500,000 (~£376,370) tournament occurring from August 11th to 15th.

The top three teams earn a place at the tournament, while teams that place fourth and fifth will have another opportunity to qualify at the global qualifiers open to teams from APAC, China and the Americas.

Fnatic isn’t the only organisation to expand into TFT in recent weeks. In May, the likes of Virtus.pro, MOUZ and Team Secret have signed rosters, with more expected to enter the auto-battler title in the months leading up to the Esports World Cup.
