Global Esports has announced the signing of Joseph ‘ban; Oh from TALON and Chae ‘yoman’ Young-mun from Gen.G Esports to its VALORANT roster.

With these additions, the team now has seven active players, but the starting lineup is unknown at the moment.

Both players are expected to debut under the GE banner in VCT Pacific Stage 2, though Esports Insider has reached out to the organisation for official confirmation.

The South Asian representatives entered the 2025 VCT season with high expectations, but results so far have been quite underwhelming. The team managed to win just one series each in the Kickoff and Stage 1 Pacific.

As a result, Global Esports parted ways with Mark ‘patrickWHO’ Musni after just one event and brought in Ban and Yoman.

Ban brings four years of competitive VALORANT experience and has previously played for top-tier organisations like T1 and TALON. Moreover, he also qualified for VALORANT Champions back-to-back in 2023 and 2024.

Yoman, on the other hand, has competed in both the VCT Pacific and China circuits, representing Gen.G, Nongshim RedForce and Rare Atom. With Rare Atom, he finished as the runner-up at VCT Ascension China 2023.

The experience both players have gathered across tier one and tier two VALORANT will be crucial as Global Esports prepares for future events.

More Moves Planned

Apart from this, a report by Tanmayy Mhatre suggests that assistant coach Donnie ‘Elevated’ Chell will be promoted to the head coach position, with a verbal agreement in place for former Cloud9 head coach Matthew ‘mCe’ Elmore to join the team as the new assistant coach.

Global Esports will return to action in July during Pacific Stage 2 as a part of Group Alpha. The journey to playoffs; however, will not be easy as the team will be up against Stage 1 winners Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), runner-ups Gen.G, and Masters Bangkok champions DRX.

All Stage 2 matches will be streamed live on VCT Pacific’s official Twitch and YouTube channels. Fans will also be able to head to the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Seoul, South Korea, to cheer for their favorite teams in person.
