Garage Door repair DIY or Not?
Hi DIY brothers. I was working on a project in the garage and cutting wood in the drive way this weekend & my garage door torsion spring broke and cables came unwound. I need to replace the torsion springs, torsion bar, and hardware on a 16' x 8' heavy wood door. Looking at "YouTube U" you can definitely DIY repair but unwinding/winding the torsion springs can be dangerous. Any advise on if anyone has done this or recommendations to just pay the cost of hiring a professional? https://preview.redd.it/d72iru1baeie1.png?width=1525&format=png&auto=webp&s=77c05b403e265f2d3e1a80ee9d9bb0619ae54268 submitted by /u/Appropriate-Lab7792 [link] [comments]
