Glamour and Cute Couples Rules the 2025 amfAR Gala Red Carpet in Cannes

After nearly two weeks of premieres and parties on the Croisette, the 2025 Cannes Film Festival is slowly coming to its close. Among the highlights of the final days is, as always, the annual amfAR Gala. Thursday afternoon, celebrities gathered at the fundraising event put on by the Foundation for AIDS Research.
Colman Domingo unsurprisingly stunned on the red carpet, wearing Valentino Pre-Fall 2025 by Creative Director Alessandro Michele. His embellished suiting may have caught the eyes of many style enthusiasts, but the most cool detail of his ensemble were his bow-adorned shoes.
Gowns ruled on the red carpet in womenswear, and A-listers had plenty of methods to keep them anything but boring. Heidi Klum’s ensemble was corseted and sheer, accented by a massive feather boa. Former L’OFFICIEL cover star Ciara’s Stephane Rolland couture dress was sculptural, and her blunt micro bob was wholly unexpected. Spike Lee and Tonya Lewis Lee were ultimate couple goals.
Ciara, Adam Lambert, and Duran Duran are slated to perform at this year’s event, held at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc and hosted by Taraji P. Henson.
This year’s Cannes saw its typical share of celebrities flocking to the region in a series of glamorous fits by designers like Chanel, Giorgio Armani, Saint Laurent, and many more. Movies like Eddington with Pedro Pascal made headlines for stirring controversy. Tastemakers like model Bella Hadid made news with her new hair color and gown that quietly revolted against the new dress code… which was another major happening this year. Long trains and risqué gowns were banned from the Cannes Film Festival red carpet merely a day before the thing all began.
