Marvel Rivals is kicking off the warmer months with some brand-new skins that have a soft, summer vibe. Squirrel Girl and Rocket Raccoon are the first characters to receive these summer skins. The skins are available separately or together as part of the Krakoa Resort bundle.
This bundle is one of several bundles that Marvel Rivals has released since the game came out in December 2024. These bundles not only contain skins, but also other cosmetics relating to those skins, such as emotes and sprays. The Krakoa Resort bundle might be a fun way to kick off the summer, but is it worth the cost?

Rocket’s bundle currently costs 2,400 units, while Squirrel Girl’s bundle costs 1,600 units. Each bundle features all five of the cosmetics mentioned above for each hero.
In Marvel Rivals, units can be obtained in a few different ways. Players can get them by participating in events, completing challenges, and progressing through the free and paid luxury battlepass. They can also be earned by completing achievements.
The easiest way to obtain units is to exchange Lattice. Lattice has a direct conversion rate, so trading in one Lattice will get you one unit, and so on. Lattice can be earned as a reward via the battlepass, but the amount of Lattice that can be obtained this way is limited. The best way to get Lattice is through purchases with real-life money.
Bundles of Lattice have different costs depending on how many of them you purchase. The current pricing for the Lattice bundles available in Marvel Rivals is as follows:
Amount of Lattice | Real money cost |
---|---|
Amount of Lattice | Real money cost |
100 | $0.99 |
500 | $4.99 |
1,000 | $9.99 |
2,180 | $19.99 |
5,680 | $49.99 |
11,680 | $99.99 |
The highest cost that players will have to pay for the Krakoa Resort bundle is around $30, as the 2,180 and the 1,000 Lattice bundles can be converted to just over 3,000 units. The bundle might not be as expensive if players already have units saved up or Lattice on their account, ready to be converted.
Is the Krakoa Resort bundle worth it?

Personal preferences are the main factor to take into account when it comes to considering whether the Krakoa Resort bundle is worth it. That being said, there are some key points that make the bundle particularly noteworthy.
Players get a fair amount of cosmetics with the bundle. There are five cosmetics for Rocket and five for Squirrel Girl. This is a pretty decent amount of content, particularly for those who are invested in the cosmetic side of Marvel Rivals.
As is the case with most Legendary tier skins, both Sunshine Raccoon and Sunshine Squirrel are fantastically made and unique outfits with special effects and sounds that make them stand out. Sunshine Raccoon is the standout option here, although Sunshine Squirrel is not without its charm (although it has gained some controversy for lightening Squirrel Girl’s skin tone).
With the Sunshine Raccoon skin, Rocket dons a vacation-themed outfit, complete with a straw hat, rubber duckies around his waist, and a Hawaiian shirt and shorts outfit combo. Rocket’s fur is changed to a summery light orange, his jetpack is converted to a water tank with fish inside, and his weapon has been transformed into a water gun. He also has a cute warwolf puppy companion on his hat called Amazing Baby, an actual character from Marvel lore. The sound effects are pretty adorable too, as when Rocket jumps, players can hear the squeaks of the rubber ducks.
The Sunshine Squirrel skin dresses Doreen in a cute, summer outfit with plenty of fun accessories. Her hair is dyed blonde for the summer, and her squirrel bestie Tippytoe also gets a summer-themed outfit and light orange fur.
Aesthetically, the skins involved in this bundle are very pleasing, as are the effects and other cute cosmetics. Rocket Raccoon and Squirrel Girl mains are sure to enjoy the fun, summery atmosphere. However, it just isn’t worth spending $30 (at most) for this bundle for those who either don’t play Rocket Raccoon or Squirrel Girl, or those who aren’t particularly invested in cosmetics.
Players who main one of these heroes might be interested in the cheaper solo bundles, but even then, it’s only truly worth forking over the cash for these skins or bundles if you are heavily invested in the characters and play them frequently.
