How do I get this hinge to start squeaking again?
This deck door has been squeaky for at least the last 15 years. Loud as hell so it was like a perimeter alarm. Someone recently got a little overzealous with the WD-40 and now this thing is dead silent, to the point that it’s unsettling. After browsing online/reddit I have tried the following: pure acetone, dawn dish soap on a toothbrush, oxy clean spray, water, hydrogen peroxide, salt, tightening the screws and loosening the screws.
