Jian ‘Uzi‘ Zihao — a player known as the LPL’s most decorated ADC and arguably the greatest Vayne player of all time — has been announced as the second inductee in League of Legends’ Hall of Legends.
Riot Games made the announcement on May 20th, almost a year after the company unveiled Faker as the first inductee. Uzi joins this elite club thanks to his incredible impact on the game, both in and out of competition.
As an inductee, Uzi will be celebrated with an in-game event, a Transcendent skin, a game Pass with a lengthy collection, a special ceremony and more to relive a career that helped shape the history of League of Legends esports.
Fans can relive Uzi’s journey with an in-client event starting June 11th. There will also be a themed event pass covering major moments from his career, along with special cosmetic items created in collaboration with the ‘Mad Dog’ himself, as Riot said.
However, before that, on June 6th, Riot Games will host an official induction ceremony in Shanghai, where Uzi will be celebrated by fans and fellow pros.
“Uzi’s legacy goes beyond his titles and achievements; he changed the way we view the bot lane role and left a permanent mark on League of Legends Esports,” said Chris Greeley, Global Head of LoL Esports.
“His passion and determination have inspired millions, and once we saw the voting breakdown from the global votes, it was clear that Uzi had left his mark on LoL Esports.”
Why is Uzi the Second Hall of Legends Inductee?
After Faker, fans speculated about other players’ impactful careers and presence in the League of Legends scene to figure out the next individual to have this honour bestowed upon them.
Uzi, simply put, is one of the most iconic players League of Legends has ever seen. Known for his insane mechanical skill and fearless playstyle as a bot laner, Uzi became a fan favourite early in his career.
“He helped redefine the pro scene’s limits,” said Riot. Moreover, beyond the statistics, Uzi helped esports become more mainstream in his home region, China.

Even looking at a more technical level, Uzi had all the cards necessary to become a Hall of Legends inductee. According to Riot Games, here’s what it takes to be considered:
- International success, like multiple Worlds or MSI appearances.
- Regional dominance.
- Role-specific achievements, including gameplay stats and impact on role-redefining plays.
- Overall contribution to the growth of League’s esport.
- Legacy and influence, especially in shaping the competitive scene.
With Faker as the first inductee last year and Uzi now following, the Hall of Legends is already shaping up to be something truly special. The only question now is: who’s going to be next in 2026?
