There are a lot of Cooking Stations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, each of which requires a specific base ingredient that you'll need to gather before you can consider using each station. One of these stations, the Soda Machine, has a particularly elusive base ingredient — Fizzy Crystals. Unlike every other Cooking Station, the Soda Machine’s Fizzy Crystals are not a basic resource. They are crafted using Fizzy Ore, which is a resource that can be gathered pretty easily, as long as you know where to look. How to get Fizzy Ore in Hello Kitty Island Adventure Screenshot by Destructoid Fizzy Ore is a resource that can only be gathered in one specific location in Island Adventure, and you won’t be able to reach it on foot. Instead, you’ll need to hop into a minecart and grab it as you pass by. There are a couple of obstacles in this process. Firstly, you need to find the Crystal Caves, which are located in the middle-north of Gemstone Mountain and have multiple entrances. Secondly, once you’ve located the Crystal Caves and found your way inside, you need to figure out how to navigate them to find the entrance to the mine cart ride. The easiest way to do this is by using the entrance to the mines that’s found in the following location: Screenshot by Destructoid Using this entrance allows direct access to the mine cart ride inside the Crystal Caves. All other entrances will subject you to the labyrinth that is the cave system, without access to the Mailbox system to get out again. If you do happen to wander in through a different entrance, here’s a map of the entire Crystal Cave system with mine cart entrances marked: Screenshot by Destructoid Either way, once you’re on the mine cart you’ll need to quickly grab the Fizzy Ore from floating shards beside the track as you pass, up to a total of 60 per day. You’ll also need to make sure to switch the track at certain intervals to ensure you get everything you can from the ride. If you miss any and are booted from the ride prematurely, you can always go back and ride again as many times as you like. The Crafting Plan for Fizzy Crystals unlocks as part of the “Dessert-ed Boat” quest, which becomes available once you’ve reached level 4 friendship with Pompompurin. This quest will also unlock the second Crafting Station in Gemstone Town, and your first job will be to turn Fizzy Ore that you’ve gathered into Fizzy Crystals. Once you’ve got Fizzy Crystals, here are all the cooking recipes (including sodas) so you can start using that Soda Machine. Sodas make excellent gifts for Friendship Island’s many villagers. Later on, once you’ve attracted a variety of temporary visitors to Friendship Island by decking out the different Cabins, Pekkle’s crush Ruby may come to visit.
