How to soundproof an unused door?

I live in an apartment that has an inside door leading to the next apartment unit. Sound passes very easily through the door and the two units can very clearly hear each other. No one uses this door and it's locked on both sides, but since it's a rental apartment we can't do any permanent modifications. Does anyone have any advice or know of any products that can be placed in front of the door to soundproof or at least muffle the sound? I've seen soundproofing curtains online but I'm unsure of their effectiveness. Thank you! submitted by /u/Type_DXL [link] [comments]
