Like many other open-world RPGs that have come before it, Avowed gives players the option to switch between first and third-person views. In this guide, I’ll run you through how you can do it as, if you're using a controller, it's not assigned to the button you'd typically associate with a perspective switch. Developer Obsidian has made this the default option for a reason: it puts you right in the shoes of the Godlike Envoy. In my experience, it’s also far easier to land hits on enemies in first-person. The benefits of third-person are you get to see the stylish garments you’ve acquired for your character, view character animations, and get a better look at environments you’re exploring. As such, I’d suggest playing in first-person view for the majority of your playthrough and only switch to third-person for specific reasons. The choice is yours, though. How to change to third-person view in Avowed
