Julian Klausner Makes His Menswear Debut for Dries Van Noten Spring/Summer 2026

Julian Klausner made a bold entrance with his debut collection for Dries Van Noten’s menswear line, unveiling Spring/Summer 2026 in a riot of color, texture, and confidence. The Antwerp-based house, long beloved for its poetic layering and palettes, found a fresh new rhythm under Klausner’s direction—one that didn’t stray far from the house codes but brought them to life with a renewed purpose.

Klausner embraced one of Dries Van Noten’s signature strengths: intentional mismatching. Bold prints collided on the runway, with pinstripes layered over more pinstripes, interrupted by sharp geometric motifs. Silk blouses were paired with slouchy cotton sweats, while sequins are piled onto garments with unapologetic abundance. It was a study in contrast and chaos, but chaos with purpose. This kind of visual dissonance has always been central to the brand’s identity, and Klausner didn’t shy away from it. Instead, he leaned in.

“I think a parallel between the men’s and women’s was always there,” Klausner told the Financial Times when he first assumed the position as creative director. “Dries men’s can be quite feminine, and Dries women’s can be quite masculine. There are seasons where they reinforce each other, and others where they balance each other out. This is always very much in my mind.”

His debut for menswear reflects just that: a carefully crafted tension between softness and strength, structure and spontaneity. Silhouettes in the new collection flow with ease but never lack direction.
