League of Legends introduces MSI 2025 Pick’em and winners’ skins bundles

Riot Games has just dropped a new dev blog outlining a wave of MSI 2025 content, including skin sales and a first-ever integration of Pick’ems.

After over a decade of Worlds predictions, Riot will be launching MSI Pick’ems for the first time, letting fans test their prediction skills and compete for rewards as the second international event unfolds. While Riot has yet to reveal the emotes, icons and more fans will be able to receive, it’s expected to be tightly connected to the MSI event theme, but also possibly with the current Ionian Summoner’s Rift.

Perhaps even more exciting than free loot is the possibility of a highly sought-after, expensive skin getting a hefty discount right after MSI.

In what could be a new tradition, Riot also announced a post-MSI skin sale centered around the champions used by the winning team during the Final. The week after the tournament ends, every skin worn by the five winning pros during the Grand Final will go on sale individually and within a role bundle offering even deeper discounts.

Each role will have its own pack based on the specific skin used in the match, surely making fans wish for a full five-game series for the last match of the event—if even only for the chance at one of their favourite skins discounted.

What Rare Skins Might Be Used at MSI 2025?

While ultra-rare legacy skins like PAX Twisted Fate and Silver Kayle are almost certainly off the table, MSI Finalists may take this opportunity to spotlight some of the game’s most elaborate and premium skins that they can use on stage. And with the Fearless Draft system, there’s even a chance for off-meta champions to be picked.

Ultimate skins like Elementalist Lux or DJ Sona are popular high-end choices which could make the cut if those champions appear in the Finals and pros decide to pick these skins.

PROJECT skins, K/DA, STAR Guardian ones are all on the table, especially for champions like Kai’Sa, Ahri, and Sylas. Depending on what’ll be played, fans could have the chance to get Dark Cosmic Jhin or even PROJECT: Mordekaiser for a smaller price.

It’s unclear whether Prestige skins are also covered under this deal, however it’s almost certain Riot won’t add legacy or limited edition skins, like Immortalized Legend Ahri or Black Alistar.

Still, between exclusive sales and high-stakes Pick’ems MSI 2025—and its Final—could become one of the most watched events in League history.
