Rocket League Championship Series’ (RLCS) fifth open event of the 2025 season has concluded, with several teams from the ecosystem’s regions crowned champions,

Each region saw teams load into three-versus-three matches for a chance to win a share of prize money, gain valuable RLCS points, qualify for the Raleigh Major and secure a place in the sixth open, which has already begun for some regions.

With all matches now finished, Esports Insider has everything there is to know about which teams emerged victorious at the final whistle and which teams booked a place in the next Open event.

The RLCS Raleigh Major Open 5 followed the same format as the fourth Open event, which has been used for several seasons of Rocket League esports. Below is a closer look at all seven regions, along with each team that secured a win.

Europe

The European edition of the RLCS Raleigh Major Open 5 event was won by Dignitas, which defeated Karmine Corp in the finals of the Playoffs to win $15,000 (~£11,196) in prize money and 18 RLCS Points.

The win cements Dignitas’ third place in the standings behind Team Vitality and Karmine Corp.

For Karmine Corp, the result marks the second consecutive Open event where the French organisation has competed in the final, after winning Open 4 in May.

A total of 899 teams competed in Open 5 thanks to the open qualification system used by esports tournament organiser BLAST and Rocket League publisher Epic Games.

North America

For North America, NRG continued to build on its victory from Open 4 with another win in Open 5. With another 18 RLCS Points earned, the organisation sits at the top of the regional standings with 36 points.

The sixth Open event for the RLCS Raleigh Major is already underway, with NRG continuing its strong run of form with a 3-0 record after three rounds of matches.

Oceania

Oceania’s RLCS Open circuit includes a handful of teams that consistently feature in the latter stages of the tournament. For Open 5, Wildcard took home $9,000 (~£6,716) and 18 RLCS Points, cementing its place as the top team in the region.

Wildcard achieved victory in Open 4, securing its place at the RLCS Raleigh Major. The event will see two teams from the region competing at the RLCS’s second Major, taking place from June 26th to 29th.

South America

FURIA emerged victorious in South America’s Open 5, sweeping aside Team Secret in the Grand Final in a rematch from the upper bracket quarter-final.

The two organisations are regarded as the best South American Rocket League teams and are tied first in the standings with 30 RLCS Points to their name following back-to-back appearances in Open Grand Finals.

FURIA secured the $9,000 prize along with 18 points that will be used to determine which teams qualify for the Raleigh Major.

MENA

Nearly 200 teams from across the Middle East and North Africa competed in Open 5, with several notable organisations from the region fielding rosters.

Team Falcons continued its strong run of form with a 4-0 sweep of ROC Esports in the Grand Final, locking in the organisation’s position at the Raleigh Major after recording victory in Open 4.

Open 6 for the MENA region began on May 16th, with the likes of Twisted Minds, ROC Esports, and Al Qadsiah all in contention for the second spot at the Major.

APAC

The APAC region recorded the joint-lowest participation level, with 75 teams competing in the Open 5 tournament.

After scoring a narrow win against Movistar KOI in the quarter-finals, Virtus.pro faced off against the side again in the final, scoring a dominant 4-1 win to wrap up the tournament.

The victory marks Virtus.pro’s second Open win of the Raleigh cycle, taking its points total to 36. Another strong showing for the organisation, and there’s a high chance of it securing the sole Raleigh Major position open to the region.

Sub-Sahara

Similar to APAC, the Sub-Saharan edition of Open 5 also featured 75 teams.

FUT Esports dominated the competition from the outset, with two 3-0 victories in the group stage to book its place in the Playoffs. The Playoffs continued the winning streak, with FUT Esports defeating 77Blocks and Cristobal Colon without conceding a single game.

What Next for RLCS?

For some regions, Open 6 for the RLCS Raleigh Major is already underway, with teams looking for another solid performance for a chance to compete on the international stage.

Once the Open events have concluded, all eyes will be on the RLCS 2025 Raleigh Major in June.

Then attention turns to the RLCS World Championship taking place at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France from September 9th to 14th.

20 teams will compete at the event, with 16 teams determined by regional standings and four from the winners of regional last-chance qualifiers.
