LEC Summer Split 2025: Schedule, Format, Teams

Following Movistar KOI lifting the LEC Spring 2025 trophy in June, the League of Legends EMEA esports scene looks set to have another unpredictable split after MSI with LEC Summer 2025.

Before the third and final split of the 2025 season gets underway in August, Riot Games has revealed everything there is to know about LEC Summer’s schedule, format and how fans can tune into the action.

LEC Summer 2025 will not feature any best-of-one matches during the group stage of the competition. For the upcoming split, Riot Games will split the ten teams into two groups of five.

Each team will play each other in a best-of-three match to determine the top eight teams that will advance to the Playoffs. The top two teams from each group will automatically qualify for the next phase of the Split.

The teams that finish third will play the opposite group’s fourth-place team in a best-of-five series to determine which organisations make it to the lower bracket of the Playoffs.

As a reminder, the 2025 LEC season won’t feature a Season Finals. As a result, the LEC Summer 2025 Playoffs will determine the top three teams that will qualify for the World Championships in China.

The opening group stage matches will begin on August 2nd, 2025, while the Summer Finals take place from September 26th to 28th at Madrid’s Caja Mágica sports arena.

The first three weeks of the competition will emanate from the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. Tickets for the group stage will go on sale from July 15th at 5 PM BST.

Tickets for the additional weeks of group stage matches will be released every other Tuesday.

After purchasing Rogue’s slot, NAVI is the latest organisation to join the LEC and will make its debut in the Summer Split. The Ukrainian organisation is aiming to qualify for the upcoming World Championship with a solid performance in this split.
