Mercedes-Benz Rewinds to the '90s With 'Youngtimer' Exhibition
Stuttgart’s Mercedes-Benz Museum is celebrating the automotive icons of the 1990s and early 2000s with a vibrant new exhibition titled Youngtimer, running from April 11 to November 2, 2025. Aimed at millennials and car lovers nostalgic for their youth, the show transforms Collection Room 5 into a colorful time capsule.Ten carefully selected vehicles take center stage, each set within immersive thematic islands that reflect the spirit of their respective eras. Highlights include the SLK 230 Kompressor and CLK Cabriolet in the "Easy Life" section, the performance-oriented 190 E 2.5 Evolution II and SLR McLaren Roadster in "Supersonic" and the luxurious CL 600 and CLS 350 CGI in "Refinement." Concept cars like the Vision R 320 CDI and Vision CLK 320 CDI Cabriolet bring futuristic flair, while the E 60 AMG channels the boldness of "Subculture."Beyond the main hall, five more young classics are presented in oversized "model car" packaging within the museum’s multistorey car park, including the CL 500 and ML 500. A rare A-Class HyPer concept car is also on view near the museum’s entrance.Adding a modern twist, interactive stations powered by AI offer visitors the chance to play retro racing games, create custom music clips and even insert their faces into digital artworks.
