The Overwatch Champions Series Champions Clash 2025 prize pool has been revealed, with proceeds from the Ember Juno bundle finally being added to the Hangzhou tournament.

With a $260,000 prize pool, Champions Clash winner Crazy Raccoon left with $104,000 in winnings following their 4-1 victory against Team Falcons in the Grand Finals.

The Ember Juno bundle, priced at 2,500 Overwatch Coins (~$24.99/£20), was made available in-game to help promote the tournament and support its participating teams. Her skin was released as part of the second collaboration between Overwatch and LE SSERAFIM.

The bundle was available in the in-game store from April 1st-22nd, 2025, with 25% of revenue made from Ember Juno purchases directly contributing towards the OWCS Champions Clash 2025 prize pool.

This is the official prize fund distribution as revealed on X on April 30th, 2025:

  • 1st: Crazy raccoons – $104,000 (~£85,000)
  • 2nd: Team Falcons – $52,000 (~£43,000)
  • 3rd: NTMR – $26,000 (~£21,000)

  • Total – $260,000 (~£213,000)

In the post on X, the official Overwatch Esports account said: “Crowdfunding for Champions Clash 2025 has concluded! Thank you for supporting your favourite OWCS teams by purchasing the Ember Juno Crowdfunding Bundle. Massive congrats to our champions, Crazy Raccoon, for their incredible run in Hangzhou!”

OWCS Champions Clash was the first international tournament of 2025, and ran from April 18th-20th in Hangzhou, China. It saw the best teams from their respective regional qualifiers competing for the lion’s share of the crowdfunded prize pot.

Overwatch Criticised for Giving 25% of Revenue to Esports Teams

The announcement online was not met with universal excitement, as some fans criticised the organisation for only sharing 25% of the proceeds from the crowdfunded skin to the OWCS Champions Clash 2025 prize pool.

In a response on X, one user wrote: “Why do you only give them 25% of sales? The whole point of the skin is the prize pool so where does the rest go?”

Many criticised Blizzard, saying $260,000 is simply not enough. Some believe the organisation could have supported teams further, either with more skins or by giving a larger cut to the prize fund.

“Could’ve been a hell of a lot more if Blizzard wasn’t so stingy and offered a greater percentage from the crowdfunding bundles,” another user wrote on X. “These teams deserve more than 25%, let us properly support them and make OWCS successful!”
