Prime Video Releases 'Heads of State' Official Action-Packed Trailer Starring John Cena and Idris Elba
Amazon MGM Studios has a new action-comedy project releasing this summer and it reunites John Cena and Idris Elba in Heads of State. The new buddy action comedy film sees Cena as the U.S. President and Elba as the U.K. Prime Minister. The official synopsis reads, "The UK Prime Minister (Idris Elba) and US President (John Cena) have a public rivalry that risks their countries’ alliance. But when they become targets of a powerful enemy, they’re forced to rely on each other as they go on a wild, multinational run. Allied with Noel, a brilliant MI6 agent (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must find a way to thwart a conspiracy that threatens the free world." The two heads of states become targets of a powerful foreign adversary, and the two are begrudgingly forced to work with each other. The film is directed by Ilya Naishuller and written Josh Appelbaum & André Nemec and Harrison Query. The film is also features Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, Stephen Root, Sarah Niles, Richard Coyle and Paddy Considine in the cast. Heads of State premieres on the streamer on July 2.
