Robert Pattinson Eyed to Play Villain in 'Dune: Messiah'
Robert Pattinson could be making his way to Arrakis as the new member of Dune: Messiah.Sources tell Variety that director Denis Villeneuve is eyeing the 38-year-old actor for an unspecified role as he finishing up the script for the third film. No formal offers or discussions have taken place, however some are speculating that he could go for the movie's big villain, Scytale.Legendary had no comment on the matter.Filming for Messiah is set to begin this summer. In addition to the return of franchise leads Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, other cast members expected to return include Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy and Jason Momoa, who confirmed that he will be reprising his role as Duncan Idaho.Pattinson is currently in the midst of filming for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, which also stars Zendaya.
