Solo Leveling: ARISE game developer Netmarble has officially launched its own esports competition, the Solo Leveling: ARISE Championship 2025.

It will be the first global tournament for the game, featuring a 20m KRW (~£11,010) prize pool and a LAN event for the Grand Final at IVEX STUDIO in Gwangmyeon, South Korea.

Solo Leveling: Arise is an action RPG game developed by Korean game studio Netmarble. Founded in 2000, the studio is known for releasing several anime-based games including The Seven Deadly Sins and Tower of God: NEW WORLD.

Solo Leveling: ARISE recreates the journey of Sung Jinwoo, the main character of the popular anime and Manwha as he becomes the strongest hunter in the world.

Similar to Genshin Impact when it comes to graphics and the gacha elements, Solo Leveling: ARISE was released in May 2024 and can be played on both PC and mobile platforms. Before its launch, the game amassed over 12m pre-registrations due to its popularity. The game allows you to combat monsters and team up with other hunters to climb the rankings. In October 2024, the game surpassed over 50m downloads globally.

The Solo Leveling: Arise Championship will have a qualifying requirement to apply for the competition. According to the tournament page, players must obtain 1,000 trophies or more in Battlefield of Time Season 7 to be eligible.

Solo Leveling: ARISE Championship 2025 Format

In the preliminary stage, which kicks off on February 21st online, players will have to record their Time Attack in Battlefield of Time for two weeks, with the top eight players from the International and Asian League preliminaries heading to South Korea for the final stage.

The winner will become the first Global Champion and win 50% of the total prize pool, 10m KRW (~£5,505). The offline finals will take place on April 12th 2025. Moreover, the final stages will be played on PC.

According to a release, the final stages of the competition will be broadcast on the game’s official channels such as YouTube.
