The 12 Best Tim Robinson Sketches

With I Think You Should Leave's Tim Robinson landing his first starring role in a movie -- as human disaster Craig in Andrew DeYoung's Friendship -- we thought it would be a good idea to work up a list of this cringe-comedy genius' best sketches. Is this a good idea like a good steering wheel that doesn't fly off while you're driving? You'll have to be the judge of that.

Even if you haven't seen the surreal, stressful sketch mecca I Think You Should Leave, which has three seasons to catch on Netflix, you've most certainly seen the memes over the last few years. Here's some of Robinson's greatest hits, from zip-lines to weinermobiles to a prank show gone morosely wrong.

Honorable Mention: Detroiters

Before we dive into the insanity of I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson, it's worth mentioning Robinson's previous project, Detroiters, with actor/comedian Sam Richardson. The duo co-created the series with Zach Kanin, who'd also work on I Think You Should Leave, making the two seasons of this underrated Comedy Central series -- about two best friends who make low-budget commercials for local businesses while coming up with get-rich-quick schemes -- a precursor to the style of humor Robinson would unleash via sketch comedy.

Coffin Flop (Season 2, Episode 1)

If you don't stand up to your cable provider and stick up for bottom-rung channels like Corncob TV, then what kind of fan are you? Just look at the content you're losing. Who doesn't love mishaps featuring corpses and grieving family members? Squares, that's who.

“Has This Ever Happened to You?” (Season 1, Episode 1)

From the very first episode of I Think You Should Leave comes an important message from a lawyer looking to protect YOU from... well, it's such a common, relatable problem that it feels silly even mentioning it.

Brian's Hat (Season 2, Episode 3)

I dont know about y'all, but we think Brian pulled it off. The store clerk was right. This was a decent man done dirty. He clearly needed neck protection that most hats do not provide.

Summer Loving (Season 3, Episode 1)

One of the Meme Supremes to come out of I Think You Should Leave involves a dating show contestant who, unlike his castmates, has his priorities in line. While everyone else on Summer Loving is looking to hook up, Ronnie knows what was really important. Unappreciated in his time.

Brooks Brothers (Season 1, Episode 5)

From one massive meme to another, there's never not a good time to unleash the ol' "We're All Trying to Find the Guy Who Did This!" Seriously. It's applicable to every occasion. So many guys do things and then pretend they didn't do that thing. Thank you, existence rife with hypocrisy.

Night of the Skeletons (Season 1, Episode 5)

This sketch shows us that you don't have to be on the same page with your bandmates, or even in sync with the general public's notions of comfort and quality, to make the Song of the Summer. Skeletons pulling (up on) your hair? It's not not a bop.

Eggman (Season 3, Episode 2)

Who doesn't enjoy a cute gathering game? Cozy chore-based social simulators saved so many of us during these past five years, and none was cozier or comfier than Eggman. You used to have to pay a whole buck-fifty to see a naked egg's b-hole and now it's practically free.

Focus Group (Season 1, Episode 3)

All ideas are good ideas. If Ruben Rabasa wants a car that's "too small," and maybe a little "stinky," then take it seriously. Shut up, Paul. Go marry your mother-in-law.

Loaded Nachos (Season 1, Episode 4)

Check out this entire reel - though the noted sketch starts at 02:35 and, once again, features Tim Robinson playing a man who's in the right. If your date's not following the proper FoodRules™, then they deserve whatever passive chiding the establishment decides to hand down.

Drive Thru (Season 3, Episode 3)

Please let him go first.

He's doing something!

Karl Havoc (Season 2, Episode 1)

To be fair, pranks get us down too. They suck. Your chosen activity is to bother me? In this economy? Get bent.

Baby of the Year (Season 1, Episode 1)

Ha, the joke's on you! Tim Robinson isn't even in this sketch! Unless he's the sillouette of the mystery judge. In which case, the joke's on us. Either way, we're hovering close to prank territory here and we don't like it.

What are your favorite Tim Robinson sketches? It was really hard to narrow this down so let loose in the comments...
