The 49 Best New Fragrances of 2025 (So Far)
From Violet Grey's first perfume to Dior's jasmine-filled ode to the South of France—here are the best new scents for summer.

Scent is an intimate experience. Your nose, we like to say, is the most loyal part of you, forever linking memory to emotion with every inhale. That’s why switching up your fragrance isn’t just a luxury, it’s a necessity, for creating new moments, sculpting fresh moods, and tapping into the brain’s deeply ingrained scent-memory connection. In 2025, we’ve moved past the artifice. No more one-note-differentiating-reboots, tired imitations of Robert Piguet’s Fracas, or diluted iterations of Mugler’s Angel (if you know, you know that nothing compares to the original). This year, we’re highlighting the perfumes that are the classics in the making: rich, multifaceted, unapologetically complex, and thought-provoking incantations that dare to bring unlikely aromatic fusions together. These fragrances aren’t about mimicking or amplifying a single note, they’re about creating a lasting, harmonious experience from top to base. We’ll be updating this list all year, so check back often. Because you’ll want to wear your scents with confidence, and let your fragrance do the talking—because the only thing that should be overwhelming is how good you smell.
Madame Grey The One That Got Away Extrait de Parfum
Taste can’t be taught—it’s instinctual. So, a few months back, when Cassandra Grey, the founder of Violet Grey, offered me an early inhale of the fragrance she’d been quietly working on, I of course took a whiff. It was unmistakably hers: stylish restraint with a pulse. This new scent reminded me that creation, when it matters, happens on its own terms. Collection No. 1 from the Madame Grey estate debuts this week—The One That Got Away (created in partnership with FD Gallery) is limited to exactly 1,100 bottles that will be available for public purchase from June 2-7. Each bottle is handcrafted, the formula leaving just enough of an impression—because some things are meant to be rare.
Louis Vuitton eLVes
This one’s sublime for many reasons. Louis Vuitton’s new scent is a melodic dream: there’s a silky rose centifolia that drapes itself in a chiffon-like shadow, with touches of coconut milk reimagined under a soft halo of warmth. The iris and peach notes are mesmerizing, and they’re the perfect finishing touches to this inviting aroma.
Krigler Octave Aurum 25 Perfume
Prestigious and grand, we feel old-school Paris glam calling us with this one. For decades now, Krigler has always released the more unique scents that allow for a grand entrance. Octave Aurum is a reformulated 1925 classic with bright citrus that unfolds into a rich blend of soft patchouli, cedarwood, vanilla, and comforting lavender. This fragrance is a tribute to the Krigler family’s cherished moments at the iconic Palais Garnier opera house in France.
Dior Jasmin des Anges Eau de Parfum
This floral love letter to the sun-drenched South of France coastline isn’t your average jasmine number. It’s got a twist of soft apricot and honeyed whispers that are truly mesmerizing. Naturally, it comes wrapped in the kind of toile de jouy that is simply unmatched chic.
Tom Ford Eau de Soleil Blanc Eau de Toilette
The whole vibe here is golden and noble—but of course, as with all of Tom Ford Beauty’s carefully thought-out fragrances, there is a quiet hedonism to Soleil Blanc, just enough bite to keep it interesting. This glorious summer scent has a delectable fusion of citrus and soft florals as well as light hints of amber, pistachio, cardamom, and sensual coco de mer accord.
Van Cleef & Arpels Moonlight Cherry Eau de Parfum
An elegant fragrance for those who veer toward the warmer, musky tones in summer. Moonlight Cherry is polished without trying too hard. The cherry threads beautifully through the coffee musk and bitter almond, giving a grounded, substantial richness. This one’s more than appropriate for the warmer weather.
Perfumehead 1272 Fragrance
Perfumehead’s 1272 is brand-new, but we think it’s destined for timelessness. This bright citrus unfolds with woody verbena at the core, softened by a beautiful orange blossom touch. The Coltrait scent is tribute to the famed Palm Springs Wexler house, mirroring its clean lines and natural light.
Acne Studios par Frédéric Malle Eau de Parfum
The minimalist cool of Acne Studios meets the olfactory finesse of Frédéric Malle—and it simply works magnificently. Rose, violet, vanilla, and peach swirl together in a scent that’s both whimsically offbeat and impeccably tailored.
L’Objet Blindfold Eau de Parfum
Blindfold has a little bit of mystery and a lot of allure. There’s a sensuality to the melody of the notes, and with the gardenia milk, suede, amber, and just a whisper of tonka bean, it’s the fragrance equivalent of black silk sheets and forbidden midnight rendez-vous.
Maison Margiela Replica Never-ending Summer Eau de Toilette
It’s only right we kick off our spring fragrance roundup with one of the perfume world’s most beloved labels. If you have a “I’m never switching scents” stance, this one might make you reconsider. Forget for just a minute those cloying, trendy gourmand scents (because, seriously, who wants to smell like a cinnamon roll?) This is exactly what a spring fragrance should be: brimming with bright florals, vetiver, and just a hint of patchouli, maintaining an effortlessly refreshing vibe.
Creed Eladaria Perfume
This elegant floral scent just screams Parisian socialites power-lunching at L’Espadon. With a balanced blend of rose, wood, vanilla musk, mandarina, and pink pepper, the fragrance exudes refinement and strength, perfect for the coming season. These infusions have a perfectly measured balance for a spring scent, which can be tough to master. The rose-centric floral heart, complemented by wood, vanilla musk, mandarina, and a hint of pink pepper, upholds timeless refinement.
Guerlain Pèche Mirage Eau de Parfum
This new scent proves once again that Guerlain knows how to seduce without screaming for attention. The only perfumier of merit to create a peach fragrance that is not candy-coated, this is an indulgent brew without crossing into saccharine territory. With just the right touch of leather, it strikes a perfect balance of sophistication and sexiness.
Amouage Existence Eau de Parfum
This perfume is very lively—the fragrance equivalent of an upper, which opens with a vibrant blend of Lily of the Valley and Rose, creating an instantly cheerful impression. Despite its white musk base, the scent retains a light, uplifting quality throughout. We are consistently drawn to this brand in terms of their high-grade craftsmanship. All of their expertly formulated scents feature a 20 percent oil concentration, which makes reapplying unnecessary.
Initio Parfums Privés Power Self
This perfume will take you on a journey through beautiful aromas with one whiff. Delicate notes of white osmanthus, white rose, and magnolia weave a symphony of scents to invigorate your mind and spirit. Initio carefully crafted elixir channels from the purity of white flowers to inspire clarity and mental vitality.
Chanel Chance Eau Splendide Eau de Parfum
Chanel is always spot-on with scents that become timeless classics—and Chance Eau Splendide is no exception. This perfume captures a playful spirit, with resplendent raspberry notes waltzing alongside rose and geranium florals. Another undeniable gem from the storied maison.
D.S. & Durga Brown Flowers Eau de Parfum
A scent with heart and intention, this product was crafted by the innovative Brooklyn-based husband-and-wife duo behind D.S. & Durga, David Seth Moltz and Kavi Ahuja Moltz. This EDP blends coffee, citrus, and jasmine with a creativity that feels both effortless and elevated. We’re all in for wearing it this spring, but honestly, it’s a fragrance that transitions well through the seasons.
Bulgari Allegra Insieme Eau de Parfum
An ever-so-delicate infusion of peony with soft, powdery undertones, this latest offering from Bulgari’s Allegra collection sits on the skin softly. It’s a fragrance that enhances without overwhelming; the perfume complements, and never competes.
Les Eaux Primordiales Couleur Primaire Eau de Parfum
Crisp and clean, just the way we like it. Crafted by renowned French perfumer Arnaud Poulain, this genderless scent is a mix of pear, jasmine, and musk that evokes spring air and clean linens. It has a soapy freshness, but above all, it’s a very refined scent.
Jo Malone London Beach Blossom Cologne
When a flight to the Seychelles isn’t in the cards, let this scent be your shortcut to paradise. With the unexpected pairing of sea coconut, bright lime, and the smooth depth of tonka bean, the fragrance evokes untouched beaches and the pulse of the tide. This is one perfume that will turn memories of a tropical escape into something you can wear every day.
Dolce & Gabbana L’Imperatrice Royale Eau de Toilette
The latest creation from Dolce & Gabbana is a refreshing departure from their usual deep, opulent scents—offering a lighter, more jovial spring fragrance. The notes of rose, cedarwood, and a clean honeysuckle touch from pink azalea work in perfect harmony to represent the fresh and jubilant florals of the season.
Burberry Hero Parfum Intense
Bolder and stronger, just like us on our good days. With rich cedarwood oils, this unisex scent is on the deep yet effortlessly refined side. You’ll find it’s the perfect companion for a memorable evening.
Granado Citrus Brasilis Eau de Parfum
Sunshine in a bottle. Granado Citrus Brasilis is a formidable fragrance brand from Brazil now making its way to the U.S. With a vibrant citrus blend and a modern twist, this scent is the perfect pick-me-up for a burst of brightness and a smile in scent form.
Mugler Angel Stellar Eau de Parfum
Channeling the bold glam of Mugler’s iconic runway gowns, the label’s latest perfume weaves a scent that defines cutting-edge elegance. The brew is creamy above all else, with bergamot, pistachio accord, and sweet bourbon vanilla bringing some seriously vivacious energy.
Ferragamo Fiamma Eau de Parfum
Bella primavera. The Italian fashion house’s new fragrance is getting us hyped for all the earthly flavors spring will bring. There’s a deliciously rich gardenia fusion here, which is softened with pear and elevated by a spicy amber finish.
Phlur Rose Whip Eau de Parfum
This rose scent takes the classic flower and grounds it, making it more of a sensual tone than a floral. The black currant is warm, not sweet—and finally, the amber, musk, and nutmeg elements create a sultry evening fragrance. We wouldn’t blame you for wearing it during the day, though.
Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Wild Eau So Intense Eau de Parfum
This fragrance makes me want to dance: it’s spontaneous, free-spirited, and brimming with joie de vivre. A delightful blend of banana blossom accord and warm jasmine, it’s as vibrant and uplifting as a burst of pure joy.
Yves Saint Laurent Beauty Y Le Parfum
If it’s good enough for Lenny Kravitz, we’re listening. The blend of geranium, pine, and patchouli was clean and unexpected, and we thought it absolutely lovely. The high concentration in this scent twists the iconic Y signature fragrance with a fresh, woody-ambery take.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Kurky Eau de Parfum
Scents can hold the keys to our earliest memories. And Maison Francis Kurkdjian knows the power of nostalgia—that’s why the storied fragrance brand has released its latest perfume, Kurky, a playful scent based on the French perfumer Kurkdjian’s childhood nickname.
This musky, fruity accord has white musk for the smell of clean and cotton, while vanilla and sandalwood bring sweetness to the orange, peach, and pear at the heart of this EDP. Our (very discerning) noses were hooked from the first spritz. We envision wearing Kurky during warm spring nights; in fact, the chic and tasteful scent resembles spring itself: light, joyful, with a touch of creamy softness at the end. Meant to capture the scent of Tutti Frutti candy and the freedom and irreverence of youth, Kurky is for adults who fill their lives with childlike wonder.
Van Cleef & Arpels Musc de Soie Eau de Parfum
As any beauty editor will tell you, in the fragrance world, many will attempt to create powdery scents—but end up missing the mark by veering into safe and basic territory. Not Musc de Soie. The new Van Cleef & Arpels scent does more than succeed at its mission, infusing delicate notes of neroli, white musk, and a velvety sandalwood that wraps you in quiet luxury with grace.
Byredo Blanche Absolu de Parfum
Byredo’s latest launch is a “richer and deeper interpretation of the iconic Blanche Eau de Parfum,” according to the brand whose scents win over every beauty editor and fragrance enthusiast I know. This time, Blanche comes in an Absolu edition, with black pepper oil, neroli, water jasmine, and cashmere wood in the blend. The scent evokes clean skin and soft linens—perfect for those spring afternoons ahead.
Tom Ford Beauty Bois Pacifique Eau de Parfum
This can’t-fail winter fragrance is perfect to pair with your softest cashmere coat on those chilly nights strolling about town. This scent carries hints of spicy, earthy allure—almost similar to a headier version of Chanel No. 5. With this scent, however, you have fragrant cardamom and turmeric blends, plus the deep warmth of cedar, oakwood, amber-vanilla, and olibanum, which makes it just the right amount of sexy.
Jil Sander Earth Eau de Parfum
Made by one of the most influential designers of the past century, Earth by Jil Sander is like if elegance had a child with the future. It kicks off with fresh, airy rose notes, then settles into the warm, earthy hug of patchouli (why should you have to choose between the two?). And because we care about the planet (and you), the alcohol in this genderless fragrance is sourced from upcycled carbon emissions, turning CO2 into a luxury ingredient. Who knew saving the world could smell this good?
Chloé Atelier Des Fleurs Cedrus Intense Perfume
Chloé doesn’t release a new scent every five minutes. Instead, this label creates lasting classics. The latest, Atelier des Fleurs Cedrus Intense, takes the original and cranks up the intensity in all the right ways. Fresh bergamot and cardamom lead the charge, with rose adding its signature touch for those with discerning noses. Cedar, vetiver, and sandalwood finish strong, leaving a warm trail that says, “You’ll be asking about my scent—and getting a whiff of it, too.”
Gucci The Alchemist’s Garden Fiori di Neroli Eau de Parfum
This Gucci aroma whispers “Milan chic” to those who know how to sip their espresso and make an entrance down Via Montenapoleone. This beautiful brew, one of three scents to debut from Gucci’s Alchemist Garden line, features a magical composition of Italian neroli, petitgrain, and cedarwood. It’s more or less a fabulously crafted floral-woody scent that feels like a bottle of sophisticated Italian heritage.
Tom Ford Beauty Fucking Fabulous Eau de Parfum
Timed perfectly to awards season, the new parfum edition of Fucking Fabulous is made to complement gowns that demand a standing ovation—and red lipstick that knows it’s the star. You can’t help but think of how much fun Ford had crafting this magnetic fragrance years ago. With its commanding leather and subtle iris floral edge, this perfume certainly commands attention in the most glamorous way possible.
Prada Infusion de Rhubarbe Eau de Parfum
Prada’s first scent of 2025 is a literal welcome breath of fresh air in a perfume world that’s currently drowning in heavy sandalwood bases (we’ve all been quietly praying for this—grazie, Mrs. Prada). With zesty green mandarin, a crisp rhubarb heart, and a grounding base of white musk, it’s refreshing, and a viable mood lifter for the senses.
Le Labo Eucalyptus 20 Eau de Parfum
Okay, okay, we’ve finally found a scent we’ll actually share with our significant other. This perfume works year-round, no matter the weather—with crisp eucalyptus to kick things off, while cedarwood moments lend some depth and labdanum adds a warm, leathery vibe that sat really well on both of our skin. Frankincense and musk round it out, keeping it clean, but not in that drugstore-soap way.
Clive Christian L Red Tea Vetiver Eau de Parfum
Clive Christian’s latest is an attractive blend of citrus, earthy rooibos tea, and a grounding base of sandalwood and musk, offering a quiet yet unmistakable air of luxury. The rooibos, with its tobacco-like fruitiness, feels more suited to my husband, because it’s bold and distinctive (I actually prefer the scent on him!).
Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady Limited Edition Eau de Parfum by Dominique Ropion
First launched in 2010, Portrait of a Lady became an instant classic in the French perfume world, its allure only growing stronger with time. Now, POAL is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a new limited-edition version, which comes in a striking red lacquered bottle brimming with the most insanely curated bouquets of Turkish roses, blackcurrant, raspberry, and patchouli.
Aerin Tuberose Gardenia Eau de Parfum
For those who’ve grown weary of winter-themed perfumes that overwhelm (the patchouli can get very heavy-handed this time of year) Aerin Tuberose Gardenia is a more graceful alternative that delights and never offends. Softly feminine and effortlessly inviting, the blend of tuberose, gardenia, and vanilla whispers elegance without trying too hard. We find it perfect for leaving a lasting impression.
Henry Rose Dave Eau de Parfum
Let’s be honest, Michelle Pfeiffer doesn’t just settle for any scent, especially when it’s named after her husband. Dave is a warm, genderless perfume that blends neroli with vanilla, cocoa shell, and tonka bean to give an inviting gourmand feel that you’ll wear all winter. As with all of Henry Rose scents, this one is non-toxic and cruelty-free.
Parfums de Marly Valaya Exclusif Eau de Parfum
This works for evenings when you want to feel a little more flavorful with your scent—but it’s also perfect for a more elegant daytime affair, if you’re the type to make an impression before 11 AM. With rich fusions of vanilla, velvety almond, and floral iterations of musk, this perfume has got just enough depth to ensure you don’t blend into the background.
Dolce & Gabbana Devotion Eau de Parfum for Men
The newest scent from D&G’s Devotion line, this men’s eau de parfum is nothing short of a fragrance passport to Mediterranean warmth. Rich coffee undertones, crisp shards of Italian lemon, and the earthy depth of patchouli keep it ever so manly. One inhale and you’re no longer in your snowbound office—rather, you’re on a sun-drenched terrace, with a glass of limoncello in hand.
Santa Maria Novella Incenso Eau de Parfum
Santa Maria Novella fragrances have long been favorites among discerning Italians who know that a good scent is as essential as their daily cornetto. SMN’s latest launch, Incenso, starts with a sharp, resinous kick that softens over time, unfolding into something beautifully rich, complex, and aromatic. It’s definitely one of our favorite surprises this year in terms of note fusion and presentation.
Phlur Golden Rule Eau de Parfum
An excellent choice for a first date scent, Golden Rule is harmonious to the nose as it is pretty, with cheery mandarin, sultry pink pepper, and velvety coconut milk. That said, it feels totally original without having to go overboard on flavors that try too hard.
Aesop Aurner Eau de Parfum
For those who adore florals but want something far more unique than the usual array, Aurner by Aesop contains exotic notes of magnolia leaf, calming Roman chamomile, and a woody cedar blend that becomes a fragrant, citrusy medley. It gets more intriguing as the day passes and delightful new undertones smolder.
Kindred Black Sweet Myrrh Perfume Oil
The brand’s redefined classic is now presented in a limited-edition bottle that’s perfect for anyone who loves unique scents with a backstory. All of Kindred Black’s scents are crafted in micro-batches, with this one utilizing sustainably harvested myrrh resin and delicate peony, juniper, and jasmine oils. It’s a rare fragrance and beautifully captures the essence of timeless botanicals from Mother Nature.
Mugler Alien Extraintense Eau de Parfum Intense
Like many of Mugler’s beloved scents, Alien Extraintense is not here to whisper—it wants recognition when worn. There are rich, bold, vanilla sensations that pair seamlessly with an abundance of heavier florals, all anchored by tuberose that adds an extra touch of flair.
Diptyque Orphéon Eau de Parfum Limited Edition
Orphéon by Diptyque Paris is ultrafeminine, but not in an overly sugary or floral way. This is pure sophistication. Inspired by 1960s Left Bank chic, the brand’s latest fragrance evokes the sultry image of tousled hair, a cat eye, and long cashmere jackets tailored to Parisian perfection.
