Ubisoft has released a full roadmap for Year 10 of Rainbow Six Siege X, including updates such as map overhauls, character reworks, esports events and more.
Season 2 of Year 10 kicks off with Operation Daybreak, which features the highly anticipated launch of Siege X and other quality of life changes. For Season 3 and beyond, here are biggest highlights from Ubisoft’s latest roadmap.
Siege X Launches Next Season

R6’s Siege X update is scheduled to release on June 10th, 2025. By far the game’s biggest update yet, Siege X brings modernised maps with destructible ingredients, audio improvements, advanced rappels and more.
Dual Front, will also be released alongside the update, a 6v6 permanent game mode with respawns, combined teams of both attackers/defenders and new objectives. No plans for a potential esports scene have been shared as of yet, and will most likely depend on the demand and success of the mode.
On the esports side of things, a brand new esports hub will be added in-game.
On the website itself, Ubisoft said: “This new section gives esports a home inside Siege for the first time, highlighting live matches and outlining the schedule so you can stay up to date without leaving the main menu. The Esports Tab will continue to evolve throughout the year.”
Siege X will also bring a series of gameplay improvements that will affect both casual and professional players. A new communication wheel will make strategising non-verbally much easier, and a new pick-and-ban system will allow teams ‘to adapt their strategy between rounds.’
Finally, the Clash rework will be released in Year 10 Season 2, allowing the defender to deploy her CCE Shield and remotely activate its taser.
Upcoming R6 Esports Tournaments

Various esports events were also shared in the R6 Year 10 roadmap, from Season 2’s Operation Daybreak, to those scheduled for Season 4. There was Siege Cup updates in the roadmap, sharing that there would be key changes taking affect as early as Season 2.
In the roadmap, Ubisoft wrote: “Siege Cup will now be available on select weekends throughout the season, giving you regular chances to jump into high-stakes competitions. Exclusive Siege Cup badges let you display your competitive achievements.”
However, in Season 3, it was shared that the Siege Cup would then move to take place every weekend, giving more opportunities for players to win and showcase their skills. Season 3 would also debut Siege Cup Squad Stats, which ‘will allow you to inspect your opponents’ team stats before matches.’
Finally, there was mention of the R6 10-year-anniversary event taking place in Season 4, though event details and dates have yet to be revealed.
