Web3 banking system Vaulta has joined forces with Ultra, a platform that looks to bring together gamers, publishers, and developers.
Together, the two companies are building a system where players can own, trade, and profit from in-game items across multiple games, according to a press release sent to Esports Insider.
Ultra will leverage Vaulta’s Banking OS for faster transactions, while Vaulta gains access to Ultra’s fee-reducing Predicate System.
The new system is said to be built on fast, affordable, and interconnected technology. This means players and creators can move assets between games, trade them in decentralised marketplaces and access banking services inside virtual worlds.
“By 2030, the Web3 gaming market is expected to grow to $615bn, outpacing both movies and TV exponentially and signalling a major shift in how consumers engage with their entertainment,” Gus van Rijckevorsel, CEO of Ultra, explained.
This partnership follows Ultra’s recent $12m (~£9m) funding round and key leadership hires, reinforcing its push to become the ‘Netflix of gaming’ with AI-driven personalisation.
A New Era for All Types of Gamers
Vaulta and Ultra are not just thinking about traditional gamers. The companies see the modern gaming ecosystem as much broader.
The platform will cater to three important groups. These are the players, viewers (like streamers), and creators. Each group will be equipped with tailored tools for earning and engagement.
Today, a ‘player’ might be someone holding a controller, a viewer watching live streams, or a creator making content. Each group has different needs and habits. The new platform will be designed to serve them all, recognising that the Web3 gaming space is about more than just playing: it’s about watching, creating, and sharing too.
Ultra is also working to make its $UOS token the main currency for in-game transactions and rewards.
This partnership comes as Web3 gaming is gaining momentum worldwide.
Players everywhere demand real ownership of their digital items – the swords, skins, and characters they work hard to earn. Recent industry trends show that Web3 gaming is not just a passing fad. The industry is expected to be valued at over $180bn by 2034.
