Wes Anderson Debuts First Trailer for 'The Phoenician Scheme'
Focus Features has debuted the official trailer for Wes Anderson's upcoming film, The Phoenician Scheme.The espionage black comedy follows Zsa-zsa Korda (Benicio del Toro), a wealthy man who has evaded death six times, and Liesl (Mia Threapleton), a nun and the only daughter amongst his 10 children. Zsa-zsa appoints Liesl as the sole heir to his estate despite their strained relationship, and they, along with tutor Bjorn (Michael Cera), go on a journey to ensure the success of what Zsa-zsa calls the "most important project" of his lifetime.Also joining the cast of Anderson's 13th film are Riz Ahmed, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Mathieu Amalric, Richard Ayoade, Jeffrey Wright, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Rupert Friend, and Hope Davis. Anderson co-writes the story alongside frequent collaborator Roman Coppola, as well as produces with Steven Rales, Jeremy Dawson and John Peet.Watch the trailer above.
