Basement stud and sill replacement - can it be done diy or should I go with the pros?
Hello, my parents home had had some flooding issues ( since repaired) and no longer and issue. I uncovered black mold and rotted studs and sill plates. Black mold has been taken care of and just received back a negative test. Repair is next on the list The water rotted out the sill plates and a small portion of the studs, which is my main concern. What difficulty level would this be in the world of DIY? 2.what steps need to be taken so this repair is done correctly? Any advice or (informative) disrespect is greatly welcomed.
