Best way to clean corrosion remnants from a battery pack?
I googled possible solutions, but nothing came up that would seem to preserve the display this battery pack is glued to. The battery pack is part of a decorative light string that I used on this art project I created a while back. The batteries corroded so I took them out and disposed of them, but now I have the remaining corrosion left behind in the pack. The light string is glued throughout the entire display, which is a wall mounted display box filled with miniature figurines that I painted by hand (2nd picture) and the entire thing took me a little over 3 months to complete, plus the display box was a pain to mount on my wall, which sits directly above my bed. Is there a way to clean the corrosive substance out of the battery pack without compromising the display? submitted by /u/ladydrybones [link] [comments]
