Closer Look at the New Balance ABZORB 2000
Update: New Balance is stepping in a new direction with its upcoming ABZORB 2000 silhouette, which we first previewed back in early February thanks to stylist Gustavo Soares, who is back with another preview of the model. Its blue and off-white colorway that we initially inspected is now joined by iterations in brown and cream, pink and white, pastel blue, and all-black. We now know that the model notably lacks "N" branding at the medial midfoot. Release has not been announced but is likely to occur soon via New Balance and select retailers so stay tuned for additional updates. Shared for the first time, the shoe appears to showcase a no-sew streamlined upper silhouette that boasts a breathable mesh upper base paired with synthetic overlays for the sleek look. The shoe's bold "N" branding is complemented by the wavy paneling and the 2000 appears to arrive in a soft baby blue hue featuring white accents throughout. The standout feature seems to the the full-length ABZORB cushioning system that is set up to resemble the Nike Shox technology.
