Cedar frieze board on slab foundation
We’re building a cedar shake shed, and have been advised to avoid using cedar for the frieze board that makes contact with the slab because it would be prone to rot. I understand the advantages of PVC, more generally, but should cedar be OK? The rest of the trim will be cedar regardless.
