Chanel Just Dropped the Perfect Glitter Lipstick

Beauty lovers may know Chanel as a go-to for their classics, like red lipstick and red nail polish, but the French brand also knows how to offer something new and fresh. This was evident as ever in the viral nail stickers from 2023 that featured interlocking C logos. It's apparent again today after the brand dropped a glitter lipstick.

Chanel's Rouge Coco Flash line generally boasts a broad range of colorways, each made to be intensely pigmented and hydrating for the lips, thanks to ingredients like jojoba and sunflower wax that lock in moisture to help nourish the skin. The new glitter lipstick, in shade 272 Rosa, has all the same skincare benefits, but its pink-purplish color is distinct. Rather than a subtle sparkle, 272 Rosa has a more intense glitter finish. It retails for $50 and is part of the brand's spring makeup drop, the Camélia Futura collection, which hit shelves days ago.

"There is something very soft and gentle about the camellia’s aesthetic... which is particularly surprising when you know that it is actually a very hardy plant that adapts and manages to flower even in extreme conditions," Cécile Paravina, a Chanel global makeup partner, said in a press release. "This duality is the basis for the collection, marrying soft, romantic qualities with colder, more futuristic and modern codes."

Echoing the glittery lipstick in the new beauty collection, Camélia Futura items are all about shine. From the new eyeshadow palette to eyeliners, nail colors, and primers, most of the new beauty items have some sort of shimmer or a metallic accent. This look stands out best in the new 272 Rosa shade of the Rouge Coco Flash. These spring makeup items are now available to shop on Chanel's website.
