Fan controlled by light switch

Hi all, I recently installed a fanimation kwad 44” ceiling fan which comes with a remote. The wall switch in the room powers the fan, so the remote only works when it is switched on. I was wondering if there is a way to replace that remote with a wall mounted switch that controls the light and fan WITHOUT needing to run a separate wire between the fan and the switch for the fan vs light (right now, only one wire connecting the fan and switch for power) My thinking is that there must be a wall mounted switch that operates like a remote, synced up to the receiver but just mounted on a wall plate vs a physical remote. Does anyone know how of a product like that? submitted by /u/not_ya_bruv_m8 [link] [comments]
