Garbage disposal - wired? First time...
Hi! I know this question gets asked about every 6 months, and I've been scrolling through, but wanted to post and ask. Current situation: This is my current garbage disposal. It's got a hole in it and needs to be replaced. The power seems to come through tbat white wire going through that odd little clamp. The wire goes behind my cabinets and into a hole drilled through my drywall - no clue where in my wall it goes. Looks like whoever installed it cut holes to make it go... wherever it goes. No outlets under here either. Dishwasher is to the left of the sink, not sure how it's powered, so the only power under my sink is this one white cord from the disposal. I've seen a few videos showing how to hard wire the disposal in for power, and it looks straightforward? But the ones I've seen show the power cord going into the existing unit through the little panel, not through this weird stick-out clamp thing. Anybody seen this before? Know if it's like some weird thing that I should bring in a pro for? I got all ready to go to home depot and DIY it but then I saw this and got concerned. Thanks in advance! submitted by /u/NettlesTea [link] [comments]
