Maria Grazia Chiuri Brings Dior to a Historic Roman Villa for the Cruise 2026 Show

The Eternal City played host to a fashion moment full of elegance and heritage as Dior unveiled its Cruise 2026 collection tonight in Rome. Set against the backdrop of Villa Albani Torlonia—a historic estate never before used for a runway presentation—the French luxury brand's Cruise 2026 show marked a homecoming of sorts for Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, who returned to her birthplace with a collection that honored Italian craftsmanship and heritage.

Guests were welcomed into the manicured gardens of the Italian villa with a beautiful performance: Interpretive dancers moved through the pathways and courtyards, embodying the grace and strength that would later unfold on the runway. The evening’s dress code felt just as intentional: It seemed like woman guests arrived in white, while men donned black, adding something interesting to the night's visual aesthetic. (Plenty of celebrities there also rocked the sheer dress look, like Ashley Park and Alexandra Daddario.)

Dior’s Cruise 2026 collection embodied a whimsical, romantic aesthetic, featuring a lineup of ethereal white gowns that ranged from fluid, sheer silhouettes to structured pieces. Naked dresses seemed to be everywhere. This latest runway show kept the ongoing sheer trend strong with its flurry of see-through dresses made of lace and other transparent fabrics.

Ruffles cascaded along hemlines, adding movement and drama, while delicate lace, floral embroidery, and shimmering embellishments elevated each look with texture and elegance. Some dresses floated with airy grace, while others hugged the body with precision, proving Chiuri’s mastery in blending softness with strength.

As the evening settled over the villa, the show revealed itself as a thoughtful tribute to legacy and heritage. Keep scrolling to see standout looks from Dior's Cruise 2026 collection.
