Need to raise part of paver patio

I hate the step the original homeowner put in. Basically put a big curved step down across the patio, makes it an annoying trip hazard for kids running around and for such a big patio, nowhere to really put outdoor furniture that doesn’t just feel crammed. Last year a storm snapped my pool far cont, so I already got taller fencing in place for the area that’s going to be lifted. The base is all solid (I repaired a few spots a couple years ago). Other than that in 8 years of being here, it’s all stable. What’s the best way to go about raising it as far as a base over the existing base? I need to go up I guess about 8-10” across to the narrow strip at the top (and I may go raise a couple feet further into that). I will also have to extend the retaining wall along the pool fencing like it is on the other side of the patio. submitted by /u/Azmodeios [link] [comments]
