Nordstrom Is Coming to Brooklyn

Nordstrom is coming to Brooklyn.

The luxury retailer revealed finalized plans on Monday morning for a 3,000 square-foot storefront in Williamsburg, set to open doors on June 26. The forthcoming space will be a Nordstrom Local, meaning that instead of a full suite of shopping options, it has limited merchandise and offers online order pick-up, streamlined returns, alteration services, a drop off for clothing donations that go to Housing Works, beauty packaging recycling, and more.

"New York is one of our largest markets and we’re looking forward to opening Nordstrom Local Williamsburg to offer Brooklyn customers even more opportunities to engage with our services closer to where they live and work," Fanya Chandler, president of Nordstrom stores, said in a press release. “We’ve learned a lot from our existing locations in the market and are excited to offer customers more convenience and personalized service.”

Nordstrom Local Williamsburg is located at 154 North 7th Street. Store hours are not yet finalized. This new Nordstrom Local is the third of its kind in New York City: the other two locations are in the West Village and Upper East Side.

This news comes ahead of the retailer's 2025 anniversary sale, which starts July 12, and the opening of its La Terrasse outdoor lounge at the Fifth Avenue flagship.

Nordstrom's forthcoming storefront joins a growing list of luxury retail sweeping the Williamsburg neighborhood over the past handful of years, including Chanel which opened a beauty boutique in July 2023, Hermès' forthcoming flagship (after its long-term flagship), Diptyque, Buck Mason, and more.
