Team Vitality announces Nisqy departure from LEC team

European esports organisation Team Vitality has announced the departure of Yasin ‘Nisqy’ Dinçer, ending his short tenure with its League of Legends roster.

Whilst known as a veteran mid laner, Nisqy surprised many fans by joining Team Vitality in March for the 2025 LEC Spring split as a support player.

The 26-year-old’s role swap was arguably one of the biggest roster moves for the LEC Spring split. However, despite this change, Team Vitality has continued to underperform in the LEC this year, failing to reach the Spring Playoffs by finishing the regular season in seventh place. 

As a result, the organisation could not compete for qualification to the Mid-Season Invitational, League of Legends’ second biggest international event. 

In Team Vitality’s farewell post, the organisation thanked Nisqy while highlighting that the decision was mutual between the team and the player. Alongside noting that the team ‘did not produce the results‘ it wanted, Team Vitality stated Nisqy’s desire to return to the mid lane. 

Starting his esports career in 2014, Nisqy has played for a variety of notable League of Legends organisations in Europe, including Fnatic, MAD Lions (now Movistar KOI) and SK Gaming. The player has also won two League of Legends Splits in two regions — one with Cloud9 in 2019  (LCS Spring) and another with MAD Lions in 2023 (LEC Spring).

On social media, Team Vitality said: “We would like to thank Nisqy for the insight he’s brought to the team, and the hard work he put into trying to make this project work. 

“As our split ended, we recognised that we did not produce the results we wanted, and with Nisqy expressing an interest in going back to mid lane, we ultimately agreed to mutually part ways to allow both parties room to grow and move forward.”

With Nisqy’s departure, Team Vitality will be looking for a new support player ahead of the LEC Summer Split, the final split of the 2025 LEC season. Whilst it has not been confirmed, esports news site Sheep Esports has reported that Kadir ‘Fleshy’ Kemiksiz is likely to be promoted to the role from Team Vitality’s academy roster. 

In the LFL, France’s tier-two League of Legends ecosystem, Vitality.Bee was eliminated in the Spring Split playoffs, losing to BK ROG Esports in the lower bracket semi-finals.
