The Exclusive Miss Dior by Judy Chicago Fragrance Trunk Is so Chic
The fragrance trunk pays tribute to Catherine Dior.

Dior and Judy Chicago just dropped something truly marvelous.
Dior has centered the artist’s feminist works in the past, including to inspire a collection of Lady Dior bags along with The Female Divine project, which made for a captivating set design for the French luxury brand's Spring/Summer 2020 Haute Couture runway show. Now, their relationship reaches the next step with their latest collaboration. Enter the Miss Dior trunk, holding the fragrance by Francis Kurkdijan.
The trunk, designed by Chicago, pays homage to Catherine Dior, featuring quotes from the icon of the French Resistance. The words “Brave & Courageous” stand out on the trunk, encapsulating both Chicago and Dior’s spirit and drive. “Aime la vie," French for “loves life," is hand embroidered onto the bow. The prominent colors of pink and purple, along with the floral patterns covering the box, are reminiscent of Chicago’s personal style as well as the aesthetic of Dior.
Through this collaboration, the work of the artist and fashion house amplify one another to create a heartfelt and deeply meaningful piece. Each of these details were thought out by Chicago to tell the empowering story of Catherine Dior and her continued mission of lifting up women.
The collaborative drop is an exclusive one, too. Only a select number of fragrance trunks were made. Curious about shopping it and knowing the retail price? These go for $16,500, making them a true collector's item, whether for art afficionados or fans of Dior. The fragrance itself, crafted with the bold activist in mind, has notes of mandarin and jasmine that come together for an intense perfume.
