All you really need to do is finish the tutorial quests (either for the White Clad or the Police Force) and you should be pretty close to Rank 5. You can go around town and fight a few civilians to reach that final rank or accept another mission or daily quest to reach the rank. Once you are Rank 5, open your Menu ("M" on the keyboard) and navigate over to the Skill Tree. Your Generation will be displayed in the bottom left corner of this screen.
