What Song Is Playing in the New GTA 6 Trailer?

Rockstar has finally revealed Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer 2, so naturally, fans have one question on their minds: what song is playing in the new GTA 6 trailer?

The two-and-a-half-minute video puts all of the action and romance of Vice City at the forefront but doesn’t let viewers forget that Rockstar loves to pack its soundtrack full of incredible music. GTA 6 won’t break tradition, with today’s second trailer backed by Hot Together by The Pointer Sisters. It’s another ’80s hit that doesn’t get much radio play in 2025, and it does a great job of setting the tone for the next open-world sandbox from the Grand Theft Auto team.

Hot Together is the title track from the California trio’s 1986 pop R&B record and comes in at four minutes and 13 seconds long. Aside from being a steamy dance cut very obviously born in the ‘80s, Hot Together already feels right at home in this revamped version of Vice City. It also doesn’t crack The Pointer Sisters’ top 10 most popular songs on Spotify at the time of this piece’s publication, but there’s a good chance that will change as the day rolls on.

GTA 6 was properly announced with its first trailer in December 2023. It was a dreamy look at Rockstar’s new world that features Florida-born rockstar Tom Petty’s Love Is a Long Road. Along with a swift boost to the song’s popularity, the footage had fans spinning theories about how the Full Moon Fever track might be teasing more about what GTA 6’s story and characters have in store. These same fans will surely be analyzing Hot Together while we wait for GTA 6 to launch next year.

Following a recent delay, Grand Theft Auto 6’s PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S release date is set for May 26, 2026.
