Breaking cavity fixing, what am I doing wrong?

I drill a hole, then try to drill those fixers into the wall. But, more often than note they just break/the thread is flattened. Am I drilling them with too much force into the wall or are the holes I drill too small? The drill bit is a 0.5mm, the cavity fixing I'm using is made for 4.5mm screws. Should I do 0.6mm holes? submitted by /u/rebexus1 [link] [comments]
