Caulk removal
I found that the caulk on the shower had mold. I’m attempting to remove the caulk but am finding it extremely difficult. Upon removal the things I’ve encountered is that there was some water underneath the caulk, the caulk on the opposite aide facing the entryway into the shower might also be need to be replaced, and the caulk I’m removing seems to have caulk underneath the metal bar that was installed. 1) do I need to remove all caulk on both sides and underneath or am I able to remove just the inside and outside? 2) after scoring the caulk the caulk is not coming up easily, any tips to remove the caulk(aside from using plastic and metal scraping tools?) is heating the silicone caulk better than using just tools? Should I use vinegar/wd40 to remove? submitted by /u/Hunted08 [link] [comments]
