How to fill in hole CMU block wall that backs into drywall?
Shoet: what to fill this hole with in the CMU blocks that backs into interior drywall? Cosmetics not important. Previous home owners left these old washer/dryer hookup/drain pipe segments that run from the inside den to the garage. They basically occupied the shelf i wanted to reclaim so I pulled them out. The hole for the pipes was filled with plastic bags, bits of fallen CMU, and expanding spray foam meant for small gaps. I'd like to get this hole filled back in and insulated since this is the garage, and I don't care about how it looks. I'm worried I cant use mortar or concrete because that brown in the back of the hole is interior drywall where the washer and dryer are.
