Bode's Spring/Summer 2025 Swimwear Takes Perfect Notes From the '70s

Just in time for warmer weather, Bode's new swimwear is here.

For Spring/Summer 2025, the brand's founder and designer Emily Adams Bode Aujla turns her fashion historian’s eye to swimwear. She staged a runway show after a couple years of a hiatus earlier in the year in New Orleans, revealing this new offering from her luxury label.

The new category, part of the brand’s Bode Rec. line, features sleek men’s swim briefs, modeled on 1950s Speedos, alongside a trio of women’s styles. The latter's options span the likes of high-cut bikinis featuring a tonal logo on the waistband and rickrack-trimmed maillots with a low back and long straps tied in a bow—both in recycled polyamide and elastane—resemble sexy 1970s beachwear. Across the men's and women's swimwear pieces, there's a sense of present fused with past.

The cotton-alpaca one-piece from the Bode Rec. line is a more unusual specimen, highlighting functional side cutouts to reduce drag, an innovation that was popular in the 1920s before the development of elasticized fabrics allowed for more closely fitting swimsuits.

Beyond its swimwear, the new items from Bode offer everything needed in a summer wardrobe, from fisherman sandals to polos, printed trousers, and more. Shop the line on the brand's website.
